1. Experience The Brand New Be A Pro
The biggest innovation in the NHL 21 is the all-new Be A Pro experience, allowing you to start your career as a kid hockey player or as a professional player in Europe. This mode focuses on the choices you make both on and off the ice, with every decision affecting the character’s future development.
On the ice, react and pass every real-time challenge from your coach, while off the ice, decided to head out into town with your teammates, or stay and have a good night’s sleep. Every decision matters and will shape your story and your career.
2. Superstar-Inspired Innovation
NHL 21 adds a few new ice moves that will create moments worth watching, learning from the world’s most creative players. From Michigan’s legendary tackles and goals, Kucherov’s top hit, to Crosby’s kick-off, these iconic moves will make for unforgettable goals.
3. Bank Tools And Chips
While the hockey superstar-inspired moves take on a new level, one of the other big game-changing creations on the ice comes in the form of something more subtle, called bank and chip.
They are used by the NHL’s most experienced attackers, allowing them to maintain attack speed by creatively using barrier walls around the pitch or neutral zone to gain an advantage. The addition of this tool opens up more ways to maintain or gain momentum when plunging into the attack area.
4. Overhaul The Goalkeeper
Goalkeeper gameplay reaches a new level of realism in NHL 21. The improved AI focuses more on the position from the last line of defense. Players will feel the goalkeeper adjust and align with the attacker’s hockey strike angle, giving them a better chance of blocking the ball.
